EQUITY team is looking for a junior associate.
Main responsibilities:
- drafting procedural documents (for court);
- the main part of the work in the field of litigation;
- working with state registers, databases and other systems, searching and analysing the necessary information;
- monitoring the progress of the client's case;
- analysing documents provided by the client;
- participating in the development of the client's defence strategy (commercial, civil, administrative);
- representing clients' interests in companies, institutions and organisations of various forms of ownership;
- technical work with documents, organising and ensuring the sending of documents.
Requirements:
- higher education in law (incomplete higher education will also be taken into consideration)
- 1 year of professional experience;
- experience in writing and drafting procedural documents (for court);
- experience in drafting contracts, supplementary agreements, letters, applications, etc;
- experience in working with official state registers (register of court decisions, register of legal entities, register of rights to real estate, other registers) and the LIGA: LAW SYSTEM;
- experience in attending court hearings (an advantage);
- native speaker of Ukrainian, upper intermediate level of English is an advantage;
- stress-resistant, self-organising, willing to face new challenges and perform complex tasks;
- sociability, ability to work in a team.

Our expectations:
- final years student or completed higher legal education;
- 2 years of experience in the field of criminal law (will be an advantage);
- practising attorney (will be an advantage);
- knowledge of Ukrainian and English (reading and writing level not lower than B2);
- knowledge of criminal and criminal procedure law;
- responsibility, discipline, attentiveness;
- initiative and independence;
- desire to learn and grow;
- ability to work in a team and individually;
- high level of emotional and mental stability to work under tight deadlines.
Future tasks:
- analysis of case files, legislation (both Ukrainian and foreign) and drafting analytical documents based on the results of such analysis;
- correspondence with foreign lawyers/clients;
- legal research for relevant information (court practice, background information, public statements of the parties, etc.);
- drafting attorney’s requests, applications, complaints, and other documents both within the framework of proceedings in Ukraine and those necessary for the defence of clients abroad;
- full cycle of work with court cases (commercial, civil, administrative and criminal): drafting procedural documents, analysing documents, technical work with documents, legal representation and defence in court (if attorney);
- translation of documents from Ukrainian into English and vice versa, proofread of translations.
