<span class="equity">EQUITY</span> acted as an expert partner of VI International Judicial and Legal Forum!

On June 13-14, VI International Judicial and Legal Forum was held, where EQUITY acted as an expert partner. 

The Forum was opened by the panel discussion “Judicial reform: effective justice – expectation VS result”, which gathered an all-star cast of speakers consisting of judges and legal profession representatives. On part of EQUITY, the partner Vyacheslav Krahlevych was invited to speak. The partner told about the changes in the emphasis and rules of the associate's work at a litigation process, and also analyzed relevant legislative acts, the process of implementing the associate's monopoly and pros and cons of this process. Oleg Malinevskiy, EQUITY Partner, opened the second day of the Forum and acted as a moderator of the panel discussion “International standards of litigation proceedings and national legal traditions”. The discussion participants talked over the process of implementation of European standards into the judicial system of Ukraine, institution of the constitutional complaint in the national systems of Lithuania and Ukraine, procedural innovations regarding judicial assistance to arbitration, as well as certain points of the civil procedural legislation of the European Union and the Netherlands. 

Yuridicheskaia Praktika, the Forum organizer, based on relevance of these issues, gathered representatives of the judiciary, associates and foreign legal community as the speakers, in particular, the Secretary General of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania and the Professor of Law of Maastricht University (The Netherlands).

Sergiy KyrychEQUITY Counselor, discussed the bankruptcy issue with colleagues at the 6th session of the Forum. Serhiy analyzed the new draft bankruptcy code, highlighted pros and cons of own bankruptcy, court approaches to assessing the debtor's application to initiate bankruptcy proceeding and provided his own proposals for streamlining this procedure.
