ECHR judgement on Crimea: what it means for Ukraine

Ilona Milostyva, attorney at EQUITY, conducted a detailed analysis of the judgment of the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in the inter-state case Ukraine v. Russia (concerning Crimea) and described the consequences of this decision for Ukraine for the Yurydychna Gazeta.

"The ECHR judgement is a significant victory for Ukraine, as it actually confirms the illegality of the annexation of Crimea and documents hundreds of facts of human rights violations by the occupation authorities, which will be used in further litigation in favour of Ukraine and the victims of the illegal occupation."
