Advocacy technique (preparation for the process and methods of persuasion, 2023)

Partners of EQUITY Olexandr Lysak and Yaroslav Zeikan in cooperation with Natalia Ryabets present a NEW joint work - the book titled “Advocacy Technique (Preparation for the Process and Methods of Persuasion)".

The book focuses on advocacy technique, a theme that is unexplored in the system of legal science but is necessary for the practical activities of an advocate (defense counsel). Based on foreign experience, the manual outlines certain elements of advocacy techniques and methods of preparing direct examination and opening statements.

To write the book, the authors used advices from the manual of the American lawyer Jerry Spence "The Lawyer's Handbook: The Art of Trial Advocacy", as well as materials on witness interrogation prepared by Professor Judy Potter of the University of Maine for Pomorskiy State University (Russia), which were privately obtained by the authors. The borrowing of interrogation texts submitted by the authors from the United States makes it possible to demonstrate how this happens in similar conditions of the American process.

The book is suitable for attorneys, judges, prosecutors, and students of law schools.
