Dmytro Bondarchuk, a counsel at EQUITY, took part in the expert roundtable discussion entitled “Searches in criminal proceedings: procedural limits and human rights standards in the light of ECHR case law”.

Dmytro Bondarchuk delivered a presentation on problematic issues relating to searches, in particular the inappropriateness of conducting searches in cases of tax evasion.

The round table discussed compliance with procedural safeguards and human rights during searches, analysed national judicial practice through the prism of ECHR standards, and developed practical recommendations for lawyers on the effective protection of human rights.
