EQUITY held a round table "Bankruptcy in Time of Codification: Reference Points"

On October 14, EQUITY together with the information portal "Bankruptcy & Liquidation" took part in the discussion of the new Code of Bankruptcy Procedures in the Ukrinform news agency. 

The discussion was joined by EQUITY partner Oleh Malinevsky, People's Deputy of Ukraine Ruslan Sydorovych and People's Deputy of Ukraine Serhiy Alekseiev, Judge of the Cassation Commercial Court of the Supreme Court of Ukraine Volodymyr Pohrebniak, EQUITY senior associate and attorney Dmytro Tilipsky, Chairman of the SRO Board "Association for Crisis Management" Viacheslav Letskan, Doctor of Law, Professor of the Chair of Commercial Law of the Law Department of the Taras Shevchenko National University Valeriy Radziviliuk, the chairman of the National Trade Union of Arbitration Managers of Ukraine Anatoliy Viazovchenko, the founder of the Avramenko Group law firm, a co-chairman of the Public Council in the NBU of the first convocation Yaroslav Avramenko, a counsel at Eterna Law Oleksandr Kravets, the head of the bankruptcy practice of the Arzinger law office Anton Molchanov, the Managing Partner at Nobili Law Firm Natalia Tishchenko, the acting director of the state enterprise “Прозорро.Продажі” Oleksiy Soboliev,  the general director of “CETAM” Viktor Vyshniov, representatives of the Deposit Guarantee Fund, representatives of IMF, EBRD, World Bank, trade organizations, bankers, the public and journalists.

The participants discussed issues related to the peculiarities of codification, novelties in corporate bankruptcy, the introduction of the institute of bankruptcy of individuals, significant changes in the procedure for sale of bankrupt property, the creation of a single SRO and many more. The reference points are already laid down by the new Code, which is going to be signed by the President of Ukraine one of these days; therefore, the main goal of the event - with the participation of market leaders and experts to determine impact on practical of the reference points on the future of the industry.
