Nonalternative Restraint Measure Chosen for the Suspect in Vasyl Khmeliuk’s Murder Case

On January 24, 2019, the Kyiv Court of Appeal reversed the decision of a court of first instance and granted the prosecutor’s appeal according to which suspect Ocheretianyi was detained immediately after the court session.

The restraint measure is without any alternative, that is why the suspect will be in the pretrial detention unit until March 2, 2019.

This day is another testimony of the inception of justice in court proceedings and we are really happy that the team of EQUITY attorneys, including Yaroslav Zeikan, Rodion Kokosh and Valeriy Kirchev, is representing interests of the victim Alina Khmeliuk, the widow of Vasyl Khmeliuk, in this proceeding.
