EQUITY Team of Attorneys Once Again Shows High Efficiency in Protecting Clients’ Interests!

On April 15, 2019, within the framework of one of the most resonant criminal proceedings of the last days, which was investigated by detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, there took place the procedure of extradition of the chairman of the "Energomerezha" holding Kryuchkov Dmytro. Immediately upon his arrival in Ukraine, Dmytro was arrested and served with a motion for preventive measure. On April 17, 2019, the Solomyansky District Court of Kyiv reviewed the above-mentioned motion. Dmytro’s interests in court were represented by Oleksandr Lysak, an EQUITY partner. Prosecutors insisted on the preventive measure in the form of 60 days’ custody with an alternative of a bail in the amount of 345 million hryvnias. 

However, thanks to the coherent and diligent work of the team of attorneys under the leadership of Oleksandr Lysak, we persuaded the court that the amount of the bail in the amount of 7 million was more than sufficient to ensure the proper procedural behavior of the client. At the same time, it was the EQUITY  attorneys who ensured the payment of the bail determined by the court.         

As a result, Kryuchkov Dmytro left the walls of the pre-trial detention unit in the shortest possible time with minimal moral and material losses.
