Maksym Saliy joined the XV Criminal Law School from UBA Students League

EQUITY devoted this weekend to communicating with active young students. Maksym Saliy took part in a panel discussion titled «Business and Welfare: Cooperation with the State or Constant Struggle?»
During the discussion, participants addressed the following questions:
- How can we avoid harming the interests of national defence enterprises?
- What changes are needed in the Ukrainian Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes to ensure a proper balance of business and state interests?
- Which international practices could help to reset the relationship between business and the BES of Ukraine?
- What are the chances that the newly created BES of Ukraine will become a flagship among law enforcement agencies in the current situation?
- How can we prevent the BES of Ukraine, the State Tax Service of Ukraine and five other authorities from targeting one business simultaneously?
We would like to thank the organisers of the XV Criminal Law School for the opportunity to participate in the dialogue and share our experience with future colleagues. Thanks to participants, for the constructive discussion and communication after the session. Your motivation and thirst for self-development are energising and inspiring.
