Odesa mayor case was included into the list for consideration!

On November 9, 2018, a preparatory meeting was completed, and the so-called «case of Odesa mayor» was included into the list for consideration by court! 

EQUITY partners Oleksandr Lysak and Taras Poshivaniuk protected the interests of the officials of the Odesa City Council, namely the Mayor G.L.Trukhanov, his deputy P.V. Vugelman and the chairman of the permanent commission for communal property V.V.Shkryabay in criminal proceedings, currently pending in the Malinovsky District Court of Odesa.

Unfortunately, the court did not take into account the convincing arguments of the defense regarding the need to dismiss the criminal proceedings against one of the figurants of the case on the basis of paragraph 9-1 of Part 1 of Art. 284 of the CPC of Ukraine (a novelty in the criminal procedural law that was provided for by the so-called “Stop mask show” Law).

However, there is also a positive outcome - thus, due to the united position of the defense at the court hearing and the grounded arguments of the attorneys, the prosecution was compelled to file a motion to leave the civil claim filed within the criminal proceedings without consideration.
