EQUITY held the first meeting of Deliberative PRO

EQUITY and the Ukrainian Association of Advocates held the first meeting of the new court-debate format for holding open meetings of the Court Practice Committee of the Ukrainian Association of Advocates and the judiciary – DELIBERATIVE PRO!

The first meeting was devoted to the use of the novelties of the Commercial Procedural Code of Ukraine in the court of first instance. The discussion revolved around practical problems of determining the competent commercial court and the judge; the role of the preparatory meeting in the procedure of “new-style” proving; the peculiarities of a retrial in the case of referral of the case for a new trial or in the case of newly discovered circumstances; practice of application of the institute of counter injunction; old-new instruments of procedural abuse and recipes to combat them.

At the event, the side of the court was represented by the judges of the Kyiv Commercial Court - Inna Otrosh, Olesya Duplyak, Vita Bondarchuk, Tetyana Vasilchenko and Roman Boiko, the side of the bar community was represented by Maksym Korchagin, Antika Law Firm Partner; Andriy Ivaniv, EQUITY Senior Lawyer; Oleg Gromovyy, GENTLS Managing Partner; Oleksandr Shkelebey, ESQUIRES Managing Partner, Oleksandr Kravets, Eterna Law Kyiv Counsel.

The co-moderators of the event were Oleg Malinevskiy, EQUITY partner; Chairman of the UAA Court Practice Committee; and Vadim Bosyy, judge, Deputy Chairman of the Commercial Court of Kyiv.
