EQUITY Partners conducted LHS DH "Acquittal verdicts in Ukraine"

On March 22, at the initiative of EQUITY partners, the LHS Discussion Hub "Acquittal verdicts in Ukraine" was conducted within the framework of the School of Criminal Practice.

Oleksandr Lysak, Yaroslav Zeikan and Taras Poshyvanyuk - EQUITY partners, took an active part in the discussion and, together with their colleagues, considered the issue of a small number of acquittals at different angles.

The expert discussion gathered three key figures of the criminal process - judges, attorneys, and prosecutors.

"The trust of society in the sphere of justice depends on the number of acquittal verdicts, and while the number of such decisions is 1%, no sense to speak about restoring trust in the judicial system of Ukraine," – said Yaroslav Zeykan, an attorney and EQUITY Partner.
