LHS DH “Pre-trial Investigation: Correcting Lawyers' Errors” by EQUITY Partners

On May 29, 2019, Legal High School hosted the first and largest Discussion Hub "Pre-trial Investigation: Correcting Lawyers' Errors”.

EQUITY Partner - Oleksandr Lysak initiated this event and gathered leading criminal practice attorneys with invaluable unique experience in defending their clients at the round table.

Attorneys discussed critical tactical and procedural errors of defense attorneys in the course of pre-trial investigation, which adversely affect client's defense, and shared 

their stories of errors and victories that make it possible to win non-guilty verdicts today.

"Making mistakes is not a shame. It is a shame not to analyze, correct or speak about them," said the moderator Alexander Lysak. "I advise everyone to gain experience when protecting clients in low-profile and seemingly easy cases; to win non-guilty sentences and pursue their goal step by step." Yaroslav Pavlovych Zeykan emphasized on the peculiarities of the Ukrainian legislation and noted that it is in the criminal process one should be well aware of the procedural code to build a strong defense strategy.
