EQUITY Joins LHS Discussion Hub “New Challenges in Banking Sector”

April 28, 2020, saw the LHS Discussion Hub “New Challenges in the Banking Sector” held which all changes and pandemic challenges banks are facing were discussed in the circle of renown experts. The discussion appeared to be so robust and meaningful that it took 3 hours instead of 1.5 hours. 

Oleh Malinevskyi, EQUITY partner, was traditionally a moderator and participant of the discussion of the following issues:

• anti-Kolomoiskyi law
• prohibition of consumer loans and its implications
• reduction of payments and other difficulties the banking system is facing
• easing requirements to the credit risk to reduce pressure on capital.

The discussion was joined by Volodymyr Stelmakh, a chair of the National Bank of Ukraine in 2000-2002, 2004-2010, who shared his position in respect of the banking innovations.
