Hanna Yudkivska participated in the Oslo Freedom Forum

On May 26, 2025, Hanna Yudkivska, partner at EQUITY and Chair-Rapporteur of the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, joined a panel discussion on the role of international institutions in the release of prisoners of conscience.

The event aimed to discuss the tools that international human rights mechanisms can use to help human rights defenders who are illegally imprisoned in different regions of the world. During the discussion, participants shared personal stories and analyzed global challenges in the field of protecting fundamental freedoms.

«Some of those who spoke on stage have already paid an extremely high price for freedom. We spoke the truth, supported each other, shared our experiences and our belief in justice,» said Hanna Yudkivska, commenting on her participation in the forum.

The Oslo Freedom Forum is an international platform that brings together leading human rights defenders, lawyers, public figures, and representatives of international institutions to jointly promote justice in the field of human rights.
