On September 6, the traditional public meeting Naradcha PRO. Sanctions Stroke: Strategies for Defending was held by the Ukrainian Advocates Association, UAA Litigation Committee in conjunction with EQUITY.

For the first time in a long time, the event was held offline and brought together judges of various jurisdictions, members of the Parliament and leading attorneys at a round table.

The moderator was Oleg Malinevskiy, Vice-President of the UAA, Chairman of the UAA Litigation Committee, partner of EQUITY.

The first block of the discussion was devoted to the responsibility of those who make "sanctions decisions".

Separately, we looked at the President's role in sanctions issues, namely, does the guarantor have the power not to approve the decision of the NSDC and is his discretionary power a double standard?

Finally, we touched upon the problem of compliance with the procedure of imposing sanctions, ensuring the right to judicial protection for persons under sanctions and backed up everything with judicial practice.
