EQUITY Takes Part in Regular Deliberate Pro Meeting
On February 20, 2020, a regular open meeting of the Committee for Litigation of the Ukrainian Bar Association Deliberate PRO No to Abuses? Procedural “filters” vs. advocates’ demonopolization was held.
Oleg Malinevkyi, an EQUITY partner and chair of the Committee on Litigation, was a moderator of the event.
The participants discussed the issues of procedural abuse in the context of the recent legislation innovations regarding self-representation of legal entities and cassation “filters.” The issues of recusals, contestation of interim rulings, access to the Supreme Court and self-representation status turned out to be the most acute.
