EQUITY attorneys successfully defend client in abuse of office case

On 9 December 2024, the Desnianskyi District Court of Chernihiv acquitted for EQUITY client under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The objective of the trial was to ascertain the legality of the official's performance of their official duties in concluding an additional agreement. The court investigated whether the official's actions were in the interests of the service and whether there were grounds to qualify these actions as abuse of office.

The court ruled that our client's actions did not constitute a criminal offence. Thanks to the effective collaboration of the company's legal team, the client was acquitted and cleared of all charges.
