EQUITY became the General Partner of the UAAʼ V Litigation Forum

"Our fifth Litigation Forum is a demonstration that the judicial system, like our entire country, has stood up to the all challenges. Ukrainian justice is being administered despite threats of bombings, destroyed court buildings, underfunding, staff shortages and other barriers,"  EQUITY's managing partner Oleg Malinevsky said during his opening speech.

Vsevolod Knyazev, Head of the Supreme Court, also made an opening speech and shared the main areas of work that the judicial system is working on.

Andriy Ivaniv, counsel at EQUITY, took part in the II session of the V Litigatation Forum of Ukrainian Advocates Association called "Litigation under martial law". 

Andriy highlighted the issues of settlements and renewal of statutes of limitations and procedural deadlines. He presented the main stages of legislative changes on the topic, reviewed important and relevant case law of the Supreme Court and suggested his own ways to resolve certain issues.

Vyacheslav Krahlevych, partner at EQUITY, joined the III Session called "Practices of Special Relevance". 

Vyacheslav told the audience about the protection of bank and financial institution owners. The partner provided the latest statistics on insolvent banks and the claims filed by the DGF against the former owners of insolvent banks. The partner also highlighted the main problematic issues that arise in the course of litigation in this category of cases.
